The famous french photographer Dominique Issermann made a video with an iPhone during the printing of her last book.
Watch ! This is pure beauty !
The film in black and white is an intrusion into the printing machine and shows the birth of her recent book about the top model and actress Laetitia Casta.
The images along with the music composed in 1987 by THOM WILLEMS for the choreographer WILLIAM FORSYTHE transport us into a magical world where the book was born. Dominique Issermann played with ink, paper and light, and she did it wonderfully…
This video is also part of Dominique Issermann’s exhibition at “la Maison Européenne de la Photographie” / MEP in Paris until the 6th of may.
Dominique Issermann photographed Laetitia Casta for three days in Vals, in the spa built by the swiss architect Peter Zumthor.
“Three breathings. Laetitia Casta’s breathless emotion while discovering the place and abandoning herself to the unknown, Dominique Issermann holding her breath to capture Laetitia moving in the building and the one of Peter Zumthor breathing through the walls, the stairs, the baths, the corridors.”
You can see the entire series in the book published by Editions Xavier Barral.
